How to block emails on Gmail?
Step-by-step Instructions

Do you have many emails in your inbox that you don’t want to read? You no longer want to see these messages. In this article, you will learn how to block these emails on Gmail. Don’t let unwanted emails clutter your inbox.

1. First, open your Gmail account and navigate to the email that you want to block. Next, click on the ‘More’ icon, which is typically located in the top right corner of the email. This will bring up a menu of options.

2. From this menu, click on the option to ‘Block [sender’s email address]’. This will immediately block all future emails from this sender from reaching your inbox.
3. If you have already received emails from this sender in the past, you may also want to move these emails to the spam folder. To do this, click on the ‘Move to spam’ button, which is located next to the ‘Block’ button. This will ensure that any previously received emails from this sender will not clutter up your inbox.

1. Open the Gmail app and open an email from the sender you want to block.

2. Tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner of the app window.

3. Tap Block [sender]. Gmail will automatically send future emails from this address to the spam folder.
It’s important to note that blocking emails on Gmail is a one-way action – you will not be able to receive emails from this sender again, even if you change your mind later. If you decide that you want to unblock a sender, you will need to follow a similar process to unblock them.

To unblock a sender on Gmail, follow these steps:

1. Click on the ‘More’ icon in the top right corner of the Gmail interface, and select ‘Settings’ from the menu.

2. From the ‘Settings’ menu, click on the ‘Filters and Blocked Addresses’ tab.
3. In the ‘Blocked Addresses’ section, you will see a list of all the email addresses that you have blocked.

To unblock a sender, simply click on the ‘Unblock’ button next to their email address. This will allow you to receive emails from this sender again.
Blocking emails on Gmail is a simple and effective way to manage your inbox and ensure that you only receive emails from sources that you want to hear from. By following the steps outlined above, you can easily block and unblock emails on Gmail to better control the flow of information in your inbox.

How to Tell If Your Email Is Blocked?

1. Check the receipt: If you requested a receipt when sending the email, you can check the receipt to confirm if the email was received by the recipient.

2. Send a test email: You can send a test email to the email address to determine if the address is still valid.

3. Check the spam folder: You can check your recipient’s spam folder to see if the email has been blocked and marked as spam.

4. Contact the recipient: You can contact the recipient through other means such as phone or social media to ask if they received your email.

If your email has been blocked by the recipient, you can avoid this by modifying the email content and sending method.
Why am I still receiving emails from blocked senders on Gmail?

One reason you may still receive emails from people you have blocked on Gmail is that the sender is using a different email address. Another reason is that the sender is using a proxy server to send emails which the system is unable to identify.
